Administering Agent Services

§ 41-02 of the Rules of the City of New York requires that a not-for-profit agency - an approved Administering Agent - takes charge of renting, selling and compliance related to Inclusionary Housing units. The Administering Agent must also be responsible for managing the lottery process and tenant selection.

HPD Marketing & Monitoring

Administering Agent is responsible for marketing the income-restricted units during the initial lease-up. In addition, the Administering Agent handles compliance, marketing and re-rentals throughout the life of the project.

Annual Affordable Housing Compliance

To comply with the terms of the Inclusionary Housing program, the owner and the Administering Agent must enter into agreement stipulating the responsibilities and obligations of all parties as they relate to ongoing compliance relations and reporting.
